National Down Syndrome Society
First is the National Down Syndrome Society, or NDSS. This organization was founded in 1979 as a not for profit organization. It is dedicated to raising awareness and educating people on the capabilities of people with Down Syndrome.
The website has many useful tools and advice. It also has a list of many other resources available for families of people with Down Syndrome. NDSS can also be followed on Facebook to receive up to date information on events and inspirational stories.
Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida
Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida, is an award winning and accredited not for profit organization founded in 1991. Its focus is to help educate and guide people with Down Syndrome and their families through all transitions of life. They are located right in the middle of Florida, making it a great resource for anyone living in Florida.
Gigi's Playhouse
Gigi’s Playhouse is a Down Syndrome achievement center that has locations throughout the country.
Sora’s Pinkie Promise
A non-profit group overseen by Dr. Erica Zeno of First Stridez Counselling to support the mental well being of children.
